The CORA Tote Is Finally Here! 🥹
I'm so excited to finally share the CORA Tote with you!
At first glance, CORA is a simple tote bag. But getting the size and proportions just right took more work than I expected. I spent over a month designing, sewing, and testing different versions until everything felt just right.
The idea for CORA started with her little sister, the CARA Pouch. After releasing CARA and seeing so many beautiful creations from the sewing community, I started imagining a bigger companion. A tote bag with the same simple charm, but with enough space for all your everyday essentials.
I have to admit, making a tote bag wasn't something I dared to try at first. 😅
A tote bag uses much more fabric than a pouch, and I was worried about spending all that time and material on something that didn't turn out the way I imagined.
So I started experimenting.
I kept wanting to make the tote bigger because a spacious bag is always tempting! But I also wanted it to hold its shape and not feel floppy. After many rounds of testing, I finally found the balance I was happy with: roomy enough for your daily essentials while still looking neat, structured, and polished.
The CORA Tote features a clean silhouette with a charming front pocket detail, making it a fun project to personalize with your favorite fabrics, colors, and little creative touches. Whether you're sewing your very first tote bag or adding another handmade favorite to your collection, CORA is designed to be both enjoyable to make and practical to use every day.
